Originally set up in 2006 as a Vocal harmony group, Cantate Voices and a percussion ensemble, Cantate Rhythm, Cantate Academy of Performing Arts has grown and now runs a Saturday Morning Theatre School with Little Starlets from age 3 and the Main School from age 7, two Voices choirs to accommodate age ranges from 7 - 21, two Rhythm ensembles to cater for standards from grade 1 upwards and an annual Summer Workshop production of a major musical. Because we are entirely independent we are not subject to the limitations in either teaching or budgets of other ‘brand’ organisations, this means that we can create a working environment to suit the students we have and allow ourselves the creative freedom to nurture each individual talent.
Formed by professional husband and wife team, Chris and Tamasine Kimber, we are able to bring our considerable talents in the field of Performing Arts to all of our classes. Chris is a professional musician specialising in Percussion and Tamasine is a professional singer/actress/dancer specialising in contemporary vocals. Both are highly established and respected performers and teachers with many years experience behind them.
